Effori Sports Law was founded in 2015 by Nilo Effori, a Brazilian and Portuguese qualified Sports Lawyer. With almost two decades developing expertise in international sports disputes and contractual matters, Nilo launched Effori Sports Law to focus exclusively in sports matters across all sports disciplines.

 

Liz Soutter, a solicitor qualified in England and Wales, joined Effori Sports Law in 2018 from the London office of a leading international law firm where she was previously a Partner, advising on high value international finance transactions. Liz helps clients in relation to contract negotiations and disputes and specialises in financing against intangible revenue streams, in particular in respect of transfer fees, broadcasting and sponsorship income, solidarity compensation, ticketing sales and Football Agent commission.

 

Our clients comprise of international sporting clubs, athletes, agents and intermediaries, regulatory bodies, investors and financiers and our primary aim is to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients in each matter in which we are involved.
